An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Shift Manager to join our existing production team at our dairy in Bridge of Allan. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be entrusted with a high degree of independence and have a genuine opportunity to make a meaningful impact towards our ever-growing business.
This role is 5 days over 7, 48 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• The role of the Shift Manager is to effectively lead and manage the production facility and resources on shift to meet our customer requirements.
• Plan and anticipate future challenges, providing solutions as needed to meet production schedules.
• Ensure production is run in a cost-effective manner, by reducing waste, improving housekeeping, and increasing productivity.
• Analyse data relating to the performance of the production department and provide solutions
• Develop, coach staff and train staff within the team.
• Work in close relationship with the other Shift Managers, Supervisors, Engineers and Technical team.
• Ensure a safe working environment for all team members, working with the Health and Safety manager as needed.

The successful candidate will ideally be from a manufacturing background and will have proven experience as a first line manager. You must be a proven problem solver who uses data and their initiative to resolve operational issues and drives continuous improvement.
Preferably candidates will hold a level 2 HACCP certificate, Intermediate Food Hygiene, IOSH Managing safely certificate and experience of Lean Manufacturing.
