THE ROLE

As Shift Manager, you will lead and drive performance across your shift in a cost-effective and efficient manner. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will have the autonomy to make a meaningful impact on business growth. This role operates on a dayshift/backshift rotation (5 days over 7).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement production processes, adjusting as needed.
• Plan ahead, anticipate challenges, and provide solutions to meet production timelines.
• Oversee factory operations during shifts, ensuring smooth production.
• Monitor standards and escalate unresolved issues to the Site Manager.
• Reduce waste and optimize cost efficiency in production.
• Analyse performance data to drive improvements.
• Lead staff training and development.
• Manage personnel tasks, including annual leave approvals and appraisals.
• Ensure a safe working environment, collaborating with the Health & Safety Manager.
