As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor – Shift Manager to join our team and help drive excellence on the production floor.
About the Role
As a Production Supervisor – Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily production operations of our dairy plant during your assigned shift. You will play a critical role in ensuring our products are produced safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring excellent people management, coordination, and communication skills.
This role is 5 days over 7 including weekends, with some training to be provided at our Acton, West London site

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise production teams, including filler and dairy operatives, to meet daily production targets.
  • Management of packaging and raw materials.
  • Ensure all staff are trained, competent, and working to standard operating procedures.
  • Oversee product quality and safety, ensuring compliance with legal and internal standards.
  • Report daily production figures, KPI’s and issues to the Factory Manager.
  • Manage staffing levels, including rota planning and shift coverage.
  • Organise and monitor shift handovers and break times to reduce downtime.
  • Liaise with Warehouse, Technical, and Engineering departments for seamless operations.
  • Identify, report, and support resolution of machine breakdowns and stoppages.
  • Enforce high standards of hygiene, food safety, and housekeeping.
  • Support changeovers and end-of-day processes to maintain production flow.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and quality awareness.
  • Act as Shift Lead and cover for the Factory Manager when required.

Candidate Profile – What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within food manufacturing, ideally dairy.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and quality compliance standards.
  • Effective leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
  • Hands-on and practical with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including shift work and weekends as required.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and other production-related software.

Pay: £38,000.00 per year
