As a Natara Production Shift Supervisor you will provide direction and leadership to the relevant shift in terms of HS&E, Production, Quality, Food Safety and Personnel matters in order to meet the production schedule across the whole of the production site to achieve the agreed delivery date, quality and quantity to the customer.
Ensure the production requirements are met whilst also delivering world class HS&E and food safety performance.
Be the primary site contact outside of standard day hours for all matters pertaining to the security of the site.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • ILM Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management; or NEBS Certificate in Supervisor Management
  • First Level Health & Safety Qualification (IOSH Managing Safely) or equivalent;
  • Process Technology (PTO/PPO) Level 3 is desirable;
  • First Aid at Work Certificate: Fire Marshall/Evacuation Certified.

Experience:

  • Considerable batch plant manufacturing experience gained from working in chemical processing/fine chemical industry;
  • Experience of supervising teams.

Specific skills or knowledge:

  • Excellent communication skills, including report writing;
  • Demonstrable planning and organisational skills;
  • Understanding of Lean/Quality Tools including RCA & PDCA;
  • Substantial analytical and problem solving skills;
  • People and performance management skills such as coaching and mentoring;
  • Evidence of effective time management with regards to personal workload, and managing conflicting priorities;
  • Evidence of ability to work in partnership with key personnel;
  • Experience within a manufacturing organisation;
  • Flexible and enthusiastic approach to work and in line with business needs;
  • Ability to work flexibly and autonomously and impart technical information to others;
  • Able to lead a team and effect change.
