The Team: This role is a part of the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) team here on the production floor. The Role: In this position, the operator is running the machine, setting it up and completing basic inspection to make sure the parts have been placed correctly as the board runs through the machine process. The operator is consistently on his/her feet in a fast-paced environment during the entire shift. Responsibilities & Qualifications You will spend your time: Perform machine setup and operate SMT equipment Operate SMT machine during product run Change component reels as needed Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor Maintain clean and orderly workstations and equipment Follow prescribed safety regulations Complete tasks as designated by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision Perform electrical assembly and sub-assembly processes using hand tools and electronic tools May rotate to various workstations as required Other duties as assigned We are excited about you if you have: Ability to read and follow manufacturing instructions and processes Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to be on your feet for a 10-hour shift Team-orientated and dependable Good eye/hand coordination Strong attention to detail Ability to work overtime with notice when necessary on weekdays and weekends Ability to read and speak English Must be at least 16-17 years old (for minors under 18 years of age proof of age required) Parental permission required if under 18 years of age Physical Demands: Frequent lifting and moving of lightweight materials (0-10 lbs.) up to 50% of time worked Must be able to lift up to 10-30 pounds, chest height up to 5% of time worked. Responsibilities
