Description
Triple M Housing, a division of ATCO Structures and western Canada’s largest manufacturer of modular residential homes, is seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Production Superintendent-Electrical to lead electrical operations within our modular home manufacturing facility. This key leadership position is responsible for ensuring electrical systems meet all applicable codes, guiding two electrical lead hands across two shifts, and supporting design, procurement, and inspection processes. The ideal candidate is a certified Journeyman Electrician with strong leadership skills, exceptional code knowledge, and a collaborative, solutions‑focused approach. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Supervision * Provide daily supervision, technical direction, and coaching to two electrical leadhands operating over two shifts. * Ensure consistent electrical workmanship, productivity, and workflow across the production line. * Support training and development of electrical team members. Code Compliance & Quality Assurance * Ensure all electrical installations meet Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), CSA requirements, and internal quality standards. * Conduct, document, and sign off on rough‑in and final online electrical inspections. * Identify deficiencies and coordinate timely resolutions. * Work closely with Pre‑Design, Engineering, and Production teams to:  * Review and validate electrical layouts, schematics, and load calculations. * Provide practical guidance to optimize designs for modular construction. * Suggest improvements that support efficiency, compliance, and manufacturability. Design Collaboration * Work closely with Pre‑Design, Engineering, and Production teams to:  * Review and validate electrical layouts, schematics, and load calculations. * Provide practical guidance to optimize designs for modular construction. * Suggest improvements that support efficiency, compliance, and manufacturability. Procurement & Material Support * Assist Procurement in selecting, sourcing, and ordering electrical materials and components. * Provide technical insight on product compatibility, code requirements, and preferred components. * Support inventory planning and material forecasting as needed. Documentation & Inspections * Complete digital inspection reports for rough‑in and final electrical stages. * Maintain accurate records to support internal audits, CSA inspections, and external regulatory reviews. * Track, communicate, and close corrective actions. * Complete digital inspection reports for rough‑in and final electrical stages. * Maintain accurate records to support internal audits, CSA inspections, and external regulatory reviews. * Track, communicate, and close corrective actions. Product & Warranty Support * Partner with the Product Support Manager to address and resolve electrical warranty issues. * Review service reports, troubleshoot electrical concerns, and provide direction on corrective actions. * Support root‑cause analysis for recurring field issues and help develop long‑term solutions to improve product reliability. * Participate in customer‑facing technical discussions when needed to ensure clear communication and effective problem resolution. Qualifications: * Valid Journeyman Electrician certification (Alberta or Red Seal preferred). * 4–7+ years of electrical experience, ideally in residential, commercial, or modular construction. * Prior supervisory or lead-hand experience required; superintendent-level experience an asset. * Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and modular manufacturing processes. * Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and plans accurately. * Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills. * Comfortable using digital tools for inspections and documentation.
