The Production Supervisor will oversee the smooth running of our high-volume manufacturing lines in a collaborative Union environment.
1st shift work scheduled workdays of Monday-Friday from 6:30 am – 2:30 pm.
2nd shift work scheduled workdays of Monday-Friday from 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm.
3rd shift work scheduled workdays of Monday-Friday from 10:00 pm – 6:30 am.

What you’ll do as a Production Supervisor:

  • Supervise the team of union employees in designated departments, fostering a safe work environment and following standard work guidelines, current operating instructions, quality audits, 5S housekeeping and other safety, quality, and environmental initiatives
  • Schedule and execute daily work assignments according to worker performance, machine capacity, and schedules to meet daily production goals
  • Orient and train employees, communicate job expectations, monitor progress, and provide feedback on performance
  • Ensure conformance to all company safety standards with respect to people, property, and equipment
  • Support all company objectives and continuous improvement activities, including offering ideas for improvement
  • Address all employee issues effectively, fairly, and consistently
  • Participate in workplace injury investigations

WE’RE LOOKING FOR A PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR WHO HAS KNOWLEDGE OF AND EXPERIENCE WITH:

  • Minimum 5 years in a direct supervisory role overseeing an hourly workforce in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication skills and proven leadership over a team of hourly employees
  • High sense of customer service excellence with the ability to work in an open, honest, team driven environment
  • The ability to plan and accomplish project driven goals that include setting at atmosphere of accountability for the team to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a mechanical/technical process with close attention to detail in a multi-tasking, fast paced environment
  • Software experience, including MS Office (Word, Excel) as well as ERP Software, preferably SAP

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of 1 million+ square feet of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:

  • Move throughout the entire facility to attend to various issues
  • Work effectively in teams across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead
  • Perform sedentary work on various computer systems
  • This Production Supervisor position is on-site at our East Longmeadow, MA facility
