SUMMARY

Perdue Farms in Crowell, KY is hiring a Production Supervisor- 1st Shift Cut Up. The Production Supervisor - 1st Shift Cut Up oversees daily production operations, ensuring efficient workflows, high-quality output and strict adherence to safety and regulatory compliance. This role places strong emphasis on fostering associate growth, developing talent, and maintaining a safety culture of continuous improvement. The Production Supervisor - 1st Shift Cut Up is a key leader who drives team performance and upholds quality production standards.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• REQUIRED:High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment with 2 years in a supervisory role. Completion of a relevant management trainee or rotational program may be considered in lieu of some experience.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
• An Associates or Bachelors Degree (highly preferred)
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a focus on associate development
• In depth knowledge of quality control processes and compliance standards (i.e. ISO, OSHA, etc.)
• Awareness and willingness to learn lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational and time management skills
• Familiarity with ERP systems (i.e. SAP) and Microsoft Office SuitePREFERRED:
• Poultry or Protein production experience
• Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, OSHA 10/30 or similar certifications

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. 2. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. 3. When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
