JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Production Supervisor for our Microbial Solution site in Charleston, SC. This is a 1st shiftsupervisory role for our PTS production team.

• The primary functions of the Production Supervisor role is to provide direct daily supervision and review work ofassigned departmental employees to ensure accuracy and to ensure adherence to pertinent departmental policies,practices, SOPs, safety procedures and biosafety protocols.
• Assist in the coordination and scheduling of activities of the department through hands-on technical support,delegation of responsibility and/or authority to departmental subordinates.
• Interview and select qualified non-exempt personnel. Recommend personnel actions, including hiring,promotions and raises; Partner with Human Resources and departmental management to assist in employeerelations.
• Identify training and development needs of direct reports; Assist in the development, implementation anddelivery of departmental training programs; ensure that direct reports receive departmental orientation andnecessary on-the-job training.
• Monitor performance of direct reports. Provide regular coaching and counseling. Assist in preparation anddelivery of salary and performance reviews of direct reports.
• Ensure optimum performance of group function; Recommend and implement techniques to improveproductivity, increase efficiencies, cut costs, take advantage of opportunities, and maintain state-of-the-artpractices.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

HS Dipolma, associates degree prefered.

EXPERIENCE:

4-6 years related experience.
