Description
As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee departmental operations and collaborate across functions to achieve goals in safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and continuous improvement. You'll enhance employee engagement and communication to support strategic objectives, and lead or participate in Lean/Six Sigma (MVP) initiatives to drive ongoing improvement. In this role you will: Workforce Management: Hire, train, and develop production staff to meet departmental goals; manage performance, attendance, and administrative records. Operations Oversight: Direct daily activities across work centers to optimize labor, equipment, and materials within budget and quality standards. Performance & Continuous Improvement: Own area performance, lead shift transitions, drive improvement initiatives, and align staffing with plant goals. Quality & Efficiency: Ensure parts meet engineering specs; minimize scrap and rework through effective process control. Cost & Budget Control: Analyze reports, manage expenses, and support budgeting efforts to maintain cost-effective operations. Manufacturing Excellence: Implement modern methods to boost productivity, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. 1-2 years of supervisory experience. Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates that live outside a 50-mile radius of Waukesha, WI. Relevant experience in shop operations such as machining, assembly, fabrication as well as manufacturing systems such as Lean, Shop Floor Control, MRP, routings, BOMs, SPC, and ISO 9000. Previous leadership experience in manufacturing environment Working knowledge of employment law such as OSHA, FMLA, harassment, etc. Experience with lean manufacturing / Operational Excellence in 5S+, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management, etc. Experience in Engineered-to-order environment
