Job Details Job Location: Duncan, SC 29334 SUMMARY: Supervise shift employees on the production floor and complies with all safety, quality and housekeeping standards. Ensures shift meets inventory requirements and product is delivered in a timely manner. Manages and mentors employees in order to maintain motivation, teamwork and continuous improvement. Reports production related issues and repairs them in a timely manner and makes recommendations for corrective actions pertaining to production problems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for consistent and accurate shift to shift communication. Ensure production line startup/shut down is completed. Ensure employees are following standard operating procedures. Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment ensuring that all safety instructions are followed. Continuously monitor product quality. Inspect parts and products to verify conformance to specifications. Identify nonconforming material and properly dispose of the material. Prepare and conduct performance reviews. Ensure employees are trained to perform various job tasks. Reviewing and working with employees to set common goals and give them direction needed to help assist them in meeting their goals. Conduct audits and assessments to identify potential areas of risk and develop mitigation strategies. Understand and maintain audit compliance as it relates to the Production Supervisor function. This would include: IATF, ISO, and TISAX Follow all safety protocols and guidelines established by the company. Ensure safe practices and a safety-first mindset among coworkers. Complete end of shift paperwork. Additional duties as needed and assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise 40-55 production employees Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Employee must have working knowledge of manufacturing environment. The individual will be responsible for leading production systems, overseeing the continuous improvement of the manufacturing process and executing long term strategic plans. Must be self-motivated and possess well developed leadership skills. Minimum Requirement: High School Education and one to five (1 to 5) years of progressive manufacturing experience and proven success in supervision. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree (B.S) or five to ten (5-10) years of progressive manufacturing experience and proven success in supervision LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets basic instructions and required documents. Has the ability to respond and communicate complicated instruction and basic directions. Ability to write work instructions and other procedures as needed. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to comprehend and apply principles of basic mathematics. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. • Ability to solve problems as they arise. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Normal amount of sitting and standing, above average mobility to move around an office and plant environment, able to conduct normal amount of work on a computer. Works with the CEO, General Manager, Program Manager, Quality Manager, Process Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor, Production Manager, Line Leads, line personnel and quality staff.
