The Production Supervisor is a hands-on position who is responsible for leading all production activities safely, accurately, and on time. This position leads by example, maintaining a positive, Team Member empowered environment where beneficial changes to departmental operations, safety, and process are understood and embraced. Multi-departmental communication (to HR, other Ops leaders, and Sales) is necessary to address pain points and contribute to solutions. Position Duties and Responsibilities: * Be a resident expert in all production activities. * Create and use Leader Standard Work (LSW) for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks. * Ensure the execution of processes resulting in producing finished goods safely, accurately, and on time to both internal and external customers. * Embrace a data-driven approach to allocating resources and completing tasks. * Create and post a weekly production room schedule. * Be a daily mentor to production team members by encouraging good behaviors and coaching underperforming behaviors. * Lead production room huddles to communicate and discuss safety, quality, productivity expectations (KPI’s), and general current events with production staff. * Actively participate in weekly “check-ins” with the Plant Manager to clearly communicate pain-points/success stories regarding KPI’s, staffing, Team Member performance, interdepartmental/company concerns, and continuous improvement opportunities. * Help create a safe working environment and support facility safety initiatives: 1. Understand and ensure the facility's HACCP plan is followed daily. 2. Assist with the creation and training of Job Instructions (JI) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA). * Assist (and sometimes lead) employee and food safety corrective action investigations. * Leads the communication effort for the production room: 1. Sales/Warehouse staff concerning product outs, shorts/allocations, and other customer satisfaction considerations. 2. Purchasing concerning raw material issues. 3. HR regarding time clock and general personnel discussions. 4. Maintenance/Sanitation, ensuring the smooth operation of production room equipment. * Collaborate with other facility leaders, embracing cross-training opportunities. * Participate in inventory control activities. * Other duties as assigned. Schedule: Oversees Sunday-Thursday 9:00 pm-6:00 am shift Skills & Qualifications * 2 plus years of foodservice production experience preferred. * Previous leadership experience preferred. * Good communication skills in English (written and verbal) + bilingual in Spanish is preferred * Basic understanding and ability to use MS Office Suite. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and supervising instructions. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. * Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours, when needed.
