Description

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our Delta, BC Happy Planet Production Team! This leadership role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day production and warehouse operations in a unionized environment while ensuring compliance with quality assurance protocols, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards. The Production Supervisor will support efficient equipment operation, uphold collective agreement provisions, and foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. As a key front line leader, this role ensures production targets are met while maintaining positive labour relations and regulatory compliance in a dynamic environment.

EXPERIENCE

· You have 3–5 years of functional and people supervisory experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment, with proven success leading frontline teams.
· You have demonstrable experience working in a unionized setting, including grievance avoidance and handling, conflict resolution, and understanding and application of collective agreements.
· You have experience coaching and mentoring teams to their full potential, inclusive of conducting workplace investigations and issuing corrective actions when necessary.
· You have hands-on experience with production planning, scheduling, and workflow coordination to meet operational targets.
· You have completed relevant leadership, supervisory, or management training, either through formal education or industry programs.
· You have experience supporting or managing Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) programs, including compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations, incident response, and workplace inspections.
· You’ve worked with cross-functional teams such as Environment Health and Safety (EHS), Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse to drive operational results.
· You have experience maintaining and enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and food safety protocols, including audit readiness.
· Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to monitor production performance is considered an asset.
· Experience with GMP, HACCP, and food safety audits is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

· Lead, coach, and support production team members to build a fully trained, safety- and quality-focused workforce that delivers consistent, high-standard products to customers.
· Plan and organize daily production activities, set shift priorities, assign tasks, and ensure efficient execution of the production schedule.
· Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as output, waste, downtime, and labour efficiency; prepare and communicate daily shift reports.
· Manage people-related responsibilities, including attendance tracking, performance feedback, conflict resolution, and ensuring compliance with WorkSafeBC safety regulations and the collective agreement.
· Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure employee adherence through routine audits and coaching.
· Apply HACCP principles, maintain compliance with GMPs, GWPs, and site-specific food safety and sanitation protocols.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., EHS, Quality, Maintenance, Sanitation, Warehouse) to resolve issues and ensure smooth production flow.
· Participate in incident investigations, hazard identification, and corrective actions to drive a proactive safety culture.
· Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities, including process optimization, waste reduction, and employee engagement initiatives.
· Ensure readiness for regulatory inspections and third-party audits by maintaining clean, organized, and compliant work areas.
SHIFT TIME: Afternoons/Evenings (1:30pm to 10pm) Monday to Friday with semi-frequent rotations to daytime and/or overnight shifts for operational needs, holiday coverage, etc.

Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
