Ballymaloe Foods are seeking to hire a Production Supervisor for our growing food business in Cork. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating the staff and manufacturing activities of the business working to our company values of high standards, Ballymaloe warmth and dedication.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

· 3rd level qualification in an Engineering/Science/Food related discipline.
· Experience/knowledge of the Food industry.
· Minimum of 3 years manufacturing management experience in the Food industry of equivalent experience.
· Knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems e.g. BRC

Responsibilities
  • Supervise all manufacturing related activities, ensuring production is run in a smooth and efficient manner with consideration to yields, quality, safety, machinery etc.
  • Ensure the correct preparation, packing and labelling of products to meet customer specifications
  • Understand every aspect of the manufacturing process and make improvements where that opportunity exists
  • Minimise levels of rework and reject materials wastage
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and quality requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and neat working environment
  • Ensure a positive employee working environment exists on the production floor
  • Recognise and provide training, and promote continuous development to all operators
  • Promote recycling, landfill waste reduction, water and energy saving and other environmentally friendly initiatives.
  • Participate in and ensure accurate end of month stock taking.
  • Foster open honest and kind communication and co-operation with all other departments
  • Perform other duties as necessary to ensure an efficiently run operation and facility
