Description
Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly efficient, committed, and proactive individual for the position of Coordinator, Production to join the versatile Mining Team. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick’s DNA by: Communicating Honestly, Transparently, and Acting with Integrity Exhibiting a Results-Driven approach Delivering solutions that are Fit for Purpose Dedicating themselves to Building a Sustainable Legacy Taking Responsibility and being Accountable Committing to Zero Harm Cultivating strong and meaningful Partnerships Reporting to the Load and Haul Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering the load and haul objectives of the mine plan and mine budget. Your duties will include but not limited to the following: Develop continuous improvement strategies and communicate and apply accordingly. Monitor dump maintenance and floor level control, roads and floors. Monitor the material type that is being mined, in conjunction with geology and survey. Ensure all controls are in place at the dig face i.e. pegs, mark-up and TBM. Operate and allocate mining equipment to optimize production in accordance with the mine plan. Ensure breaks, hot seat change and refuelling of all mobile equipment are well coordinated. Provide consistency between shift hand over through accurate pit set up / inform incoming shift. Ensure the dispatch system is utilized as an inherent part of the section and appropriate production improvements are managed continuously. To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements: Grade 12 Certificate. Degree in mining engineering. A valid Blasting License is an added advantage. Must have three year’s experience in the open pit mining industry. Must be the Member of engineering institute of Zambia (EIZ). Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications. Proven ability to deliver results and act as a change agent. Responsibilities
The Coordinator, Production is responsible for achieving the load and haul objectives outlined in the mine plan and budget, which includes developing and applying continuous improvement strategies. Duties also involve monitoring maintenance, material types, dig face controls, operating and allocating mining equipment, coordinating equipment servicing, ensuring accurate shift handovers, and continuously managing production improvements via the dispatch system.
