Richmond food warehouse looking for Production Supervisor to bring energy and performance to a great team! Company has been in business over 60 years and well respected in the industry.

Duties include but not limited to the following:

  • Overseeing and managing the entire operation of the production department
  • Completing daily order production requirements
  • Working hands-on at the production lines daily
  • Able to comfortably lift 50lb bags repeatedly
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently
  • Planning effectively for daily, weekly and monthly production schedule
  • Have past experience in production line work in the food industry
  • Supervising operations within the production department to achieve higher output
  • Managing scheduling for maximum workforce efficiency
  • Experience in working with automatic and semi-automatic packaging machines
  • Basic mechanical problem-solving skills for trouble-shooting equipment if failure occurs
  • Training of new hires and assisting production staff when tasks are needed
  • Training and supervising of employees in the use of new equipment and production techniques.
  • Develop and follow equipment maintenance schedules and recommend the replacement of parts and equipment
  • Strong leadership abilities to mentor and coach employees and boost morale
  • A strong working knowledge of safety regulations related to the food industry
  • Compliance with various food safety certification and requirements, including HACCP and Organic Certification, etc.
  • Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and professional standards
  • Develop and maintain quality control inspection and reporting procedures
  • Develop and implement plans to efficiently use materials, labour and equipment to meet production requirements
  • Maintaining various daily, weekly and monthly productions reports accurately
  • Maintaining effective communication between employees and senior executives to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood and properly followed
  • Ensuring smooth flow of raw materials and other resources, notify purchasing department when there is low stock
  • Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethics
