Job Title: Production Supervisor
Location: Chesterfield
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum + Overtime
Hours: Monday – Friday, between 07:00 – 17:00
Contract Type: Permanent

JOB OVERVIEW:

Due to continued growth and expansion, we are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team in Chesterfield on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key leadership role, overseeing daily operations, motivating staff, and ensuring production targets are consistently achieved.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment – ideally within metalworking (fabrication, machining, welding, or casting).
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of production workflows, quality assurance, and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proactive and practical approach to problem-solving.
  • Competent in using basic IT systems and production tracking software.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a production team.
  • Lead morning toolbox talks to communicate targets and priorities.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to schedules.
  • Provide leadership, training, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies.
  • Liaise with the Operations Director and other departments to resolve issues and drive improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of production output, stock usage, incidents, and maintenance requirements.
  • Collate employee data and build tailored progress plans to support staff development.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the production area.
