JOB SUMMARY:

Our client is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to lead and coordinate daily production activities in our food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will ensure production runs efficiently, safely, and in compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP, CFIA). You will supervise production staff, monitor output, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety regulatory standards.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency with production software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or evenings as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise, schedule, and coordinate production line employees to meet daily targets.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, GMPs, and company SOPs).
  • Monitor production output, adjust workflows as needed to optimize efficiency.
  • Lead daily shift meetings and communicate goals and expectations clearly to staff.
  • Ensure all equipment is operated safely and report maintenance needs promptly.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate production employees; provide feedback and corrective action as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate production records, batch sheets, and downtime reports.
  • Enforce health and safety policies, including the use of PPE and sanitation procedures.
  • Collaborate with QA, Maintenance, and Inventory teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., lean manufacturing, 5S).
