We are hiring a Production Supervisor II – 2nd Shift in our Salina KS location. This position is responsible for supervising the production, processing, and packaging of food product on line(s) or systems with increased complexity; drives productivity and efficiency improvements on line(s) with advanced understanding of equipment and operational processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience preferably in food industry manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience, with minimum of 3 years in supervision.
  • SAP and other manufacturing system experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of robotics and equipment used in production.
  • Embraces change and a culture of continuous improvement; serves as an informal team leader among peers.
  • Has ability to analyze operational reports and writes routine reports and correspondence. Strong mathematical and reasoning/critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze financial impacts related to line performance.
  • Knowledge of USDA, FDA, and SQF regulations.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The base salary range for this position is $66,375 to $110,625 annually with eligibility for a 10% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to educations, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Requirements:

Strong mathematical and reasoning/criticalthinking skills with the ability to analyze financial impacts related to line performance. Ability to compute rate,ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Knowledge of USDA, FDA, and SQF regulations. Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple complex production lines, ensuring compliance with USDA and company regulations while optimizing schedules, staffing, and workflow.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor team members, supporting performance management, development, and adherence to EEO and company policies.
  • Lead process improvements using RCA, DMS, and OPEX methodologies to drive operational efficiency, reduce costs, and sustain results.
  • Utilize and train others in core manufacturing systems (e.g., SAP, Kronos, IQS); ensure accurate data entry, reporting, and documentation.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance and USDA to maintain food safety standards; review and approve HACCP and related compliance records.
  • Monitor and adjust production processes and equipment to improve line performance, product quality, and adherence to GMP standards.
  • Serve as shift lead and provide cross-functional support, including coverage for the operations manager and project-based initiatives.
