JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Operations Supervisor to oversee and coordinate various aspects of the shop and operations workflow. The ideal candidate will manage a team of 10 employees, ensure efficient processes, and maintain compliance with company policies and systems. This role is integral to ensuring timely and accurate execution of work orders, material planning, customer communication, and safety reporting.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Experience in the blower industry or similar industry.
· 3 years + of team management experience.
· Proven supervisory experience in a shop or manufacturing environment.
· Proficiency in ERP systems (existing experience with Oracle is an asset)
· Familiarity with managing cross-functional teams, including mechanics, welders, and machinists.
· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple tasks such as work orders, forecasts, and reporting.
· Excellent communication skills to liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

· Managing a team of 10 employees the shop employees (general laborers, mechanics, mechanists, welders).
· Manage employees timecards using Work-force Manager (WFM)/Kronos.
· Ensure safe operations of the site. Monthly EHS reporting (for the Acheson site).
· Review teardown reports and submit work repair estimate.
· Provide customer service, with estimate details including parts and labor.
· Release work order to the shopfloor once PO is received and approved.
· Tracking shop supplies and replenishment.
· Selecting and creating new suppliers.
· Sales order backlog review and current revenue forecast.
· Responsible for fixed assets and rolling equipment, filing expenses reports.
· Facilitating Material planning and maintaining inventory accuracy (cycle count).
· Work order completion and variance review.
· Tracking monthly production efficiency, and improve workorder routing accuracy.
· Indirect spend review and annual PO creation.
· Support in solving Accounts Payable discrepancies (Basware, Jagger) and approval miscellaneous charges.
· Creating materials requisitions for local supply.
· Supervising shipping & receiving tasks for the site.
· Quality assurance of executed tasks and completed projects.
