TITLE: Production Supervisor

POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Supervisor will support and guide machine operators in efficiently running their machines. This role requires a hands-on approach, with the supervisor being actively involved in learning and operating machines. The expected learning period is up to 3 months per machine.

  • Positions open for second shift Monday – Friday with some Saturdays.
  • Training is required on the first shift.
  • New machinery and air-conditioned plant.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting and maintaining flexographic and converting machinery.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in food packaging.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and act decisively.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly instruct and support machine operators.
  • Willingness to learn and operate new machinery, with an ability to adapt to changing production needs.
  • Ability to manage time effectively balancing supervision, troubleshooting, and learning new equipment.
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Learn to operate various machines used in the production of food packaging products. Each machine may require up to 3 months of training.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision and support to machine operators, ensuring machines are running efficiently and production goals are met.
  • Assist operators in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues with machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining production flow.
  • Train and mentor machine operators on best practices, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing issues as they arise to ensure smooth operation across the production floor.
  • Monitor production quality to ensure products meet all relevant standards and specifications.
  • Ensure all production activities comply with company safety policies and industry regulations.
