Responsibilities

Reporting to the Production Manager, the production supervisor will manage plant operations on a shift basis. He/she will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of a team of approximately 25 unionized employees.

The Production Supervisor takes the necessary measures to ensure the efficient use of manpower and equipment. He/she acts to achieve objectives related to operational efficiency, product quality, occupational health and safety, and the management of our human resources.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety rules and safe working practices at all times;
  • Ensure constant compliance of workplaces and safety of tools;
  • Develop and maintain a preventive attitude among team members;
  • Ensure that his team performs quality work in line with company standards;
  • Ensure proper material and human resources planning to achieve production objectives;
  • Mobilize team members to achieve productivity targets;
  • Distribute tasks equitably among team members, taking into account individual capabilities and equipment capacities;
  • Manage the performance of work teams using key performance indicators and implement actions to achieve production targets;
  • Adhere to the production plan, communicate standard times and analyze deviations;
  • Ensure compliance with work procedures and quality of work of team members;
  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement improved processes;
  • Participate in the implementation of the continuous improvement program and the identification of improvement opportunities;
  • Participate in various HR processes (staffing, performance appraisals, disciplinary processes, labour relations, training, etc.);
  • Manage team members’ work attendance;
  • Contribute to the development of team members;
