Job Summary: The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on the production floor within our food manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong leader with experience in food or supplement manufacturing who can guide production teams, manage changeovers, troubleshoot blending and pouching equipment, and ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company quality standards. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: Supervise daily operations on the production floor, ensuring adherence to production schedules and safety protocols. Lead efficient production line changeovers to support throughput and minimize downtime. Guide, coach, and develop Line Leads and Operators to support team performance and skill development. Troubleshoot blending and pouching equipment in partnership with Maintenance and Quality Control. Collaborate with Material Handling to ensure materials are staged and available on time for production activities. Monitor and validate production data within the production tracking software, ensuring accuracy and complete documentation. Ensure correct product setup in the production tracking software and verify that Operators are inputting data correctly on tablets. Maintain detailed and accurate production logs, records, and batch documentation per regulatory and company standards. Drive efficiency improvements, waste reduction efforts, and process enhancement initiatives. Support readiness for regulatory, customer, and internal audits by maintaining production documentation and compliance standards. Requirements Production Work Requirements Maintain strong floor presence to ensure production teams follow safety, quality, and productivity standards. Provide guidance during equipment setbacks or production delays to maintain workflow continuity. Process Management Verify all product changeovers are completed correctly, including packaging and labeling setup. Coordinate daily production meetings with cross-functional teams to align on priorities and troubleshoot issues. Production Tracking and Documentation Ensure production tracking software reflects correct product information and batch details. Monitor KPIs and support corrective actions when performance deviates from targets. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with the Director of Manufacturing on labor planning, shift assignments, and workflow optimization. Partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Material Handling to resolve production issues efficiently. ________________________________________ Qualifications 5+ years of experience in food or supplement manufacturing. 2+ years of supervisory, team lead, or management experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred but not required. Strong understanding of dry blending and pouching operations. Proven ability to lead teams and manage production workflows in a fast-paced environment. Experience with GMP, food safety standards, and HACCP principles. Proficiency with production tracking systems, ERP systems, and digital documentation tools. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Bilingual is a huge plus! ________________________________________ Additional Requirements Certifications in Food Safety, GMP, or HACCP are preferred. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to ~50 lbs as needed. Must be process-oriented, collaborative, and self-motivated with a growth mindset. Ability to work flexible hours based on production needs. Ability to fluently speak English and Spanish strongly preferred. ________________________________________ Work Environment This is an on-site position located in Orem, UT, within a dry blending and pouching manufacturing environment. Work conditions include proximity to powders, packaging machinery, industrial equipment, and variable noise levels.
