PURPOSE
Reporting to the Warehouse and Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for hands-on leadership, planning, and managing team performance within the IWI Lonestar division. This role will lead and oversee daily production operations, including welding, rubber processing, and steel pressing, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output. The Production Supervisor will be directly responsible for scheduling production, coordinating incoming materials, and managing manpower to deliver products within budget, on time, and in accordance with quality standards.
The role also involves overseeing all production activities at Lonestar Dock Products, driving operational efficiency, and collaborating with senior management and the engineering team on improvement initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Schedule and maintain the production plan, with a minimum of 5 business-day forecast, to meet customer delivery dates and minimum finished goods inventory. Share the forecast with all internal stakeholders.
- Lead and supervise production activities involving welding, rubber processing, and steel pressing to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
- Train and enforce administrative and operational policies and procedures across the division.
- Oversee purchasing and supply chain activities to ensure minimum inventory levels are met, while coordinating with the onsite division purchaser, Warehouse and Production Manager, and Supply Chain Manager.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment at all times.
- Maintain all onsite equipment critical to ongoing operations, including welding machines, rubber processing equipment, and steel presses.
- Lead recruiting, onboarding, and training efforts for shop floor personnel.
- Regularly complete production and operations reports to be shared with stakeholders across the organization.
- Lead and manage the local production team with support from HR and the Warehouse and Production Manager.
- Problem-solve day-to-day operational issues such as absenteeism, material shortages, and equipment downtime to minimize customer impact. Develop and implement procedures where needed to address operational gaps.
- Spend approximately 85% of time on the shop floor, ensuring the production team is operating efficiently.
- Work closely with the onsite purchaser (administrative support) for non-critical administrative tasks. Critical or sensitive tasks must be handled directly.
- Regularly use the ERP (MS NAV) to ensure data accuracy and compliance with company data storage policies.
- Participate in and coordinate onsite inventory counts.
