Description

Directly supervise the stamping operation on shift assigned, including but not limited to: presses, auxiliary equipment, and qualified personnel to ensure that internal and customer product quality and delivery requirements are met. Communicate effectively with Quality, Tooling, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure internal and customer requirements are met. Assist with troubleshooting tooling, material, or other issues that interrupt production efficiency. Coordinate with Toolmakers, Setup, or other personnel to resume production at expected levels. Assist the Production Manager with the process of coordinating press setup and startup. Support the Die and Tooling Preventative Maintenance Programs, ensuring that stamping dies and equipment are maintained as necessary. Work with Warehouse personnel to ensure that stamping material, packaging, and other supplies are in place to maintain efficient stamping operations. Determine accurate part counts per shift for production reporting. Communicate information regarding completed jobs per shift to appropriate personnel. AS Degree from an accredited institution. No relocation assistance is available for this role. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Carol Stream, IL. BS degree from an accredited institution. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to materials management. Understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving. Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic. Demonstrates a Collaborative Style Drives for Results Makes Decisions/Solves Problems Promotes and Champions Change Possesses Interpersonal Savvy (Supplier/Customer Relationships) Good communication Delegation Problem solving Preplanning Time Management The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 40 pounds.
