We are currently recruiting a Production Supervisor, reporting to the Operations Manager for our Moncton, New Brunswick location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and promote organizational culture; cultivate and maintain a strong team dynamic and dedicated work ethic.
  • Conduct training and cross training of employees for product, process and employee development.
  • Ensure employees are trained on procedures relating to safety, production, and quality.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Quality procedures.
  • Identify and resolve production issues in an efficient manner, assist in the resolution of quality production problems.
  • Investigate and prepare reports on safety near-misses, accidents and hazards identification.
  • Assures that a clean and safe working environment is maintained at all times.
  • Work closely with other production supervisors to ensure consistency.
  • Facilitate and encourage effective communications.
  • Identify and address areas of concern and seek solutions for resolution.
  • Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Required knowledge and training includes:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience within a fast-paced Manufacturing environment, 3 of which must be in a supervisory role; Experience specifically in a high-speed, continuous process manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with hands-on problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability in order to successfully manage a diverse group of employees.
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and analytical skills.
  • Proven track record of operational enhancement and improvements through employee engagement, demonstrated team building talent.
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment, an asset
  • Ability to work rotating shift schedules.
  • Ability to deliver significant impact in a fast-paced environment against changing priorities with limited resources.
