JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our Client’s manufacturing operations in Concord. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in factory/ manufacturing settings and be proficient in managing assembly line processes. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to lead a team effectively while ensuring production goals are met efficiently and safely.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment is mandatory.
  • Experience with manufacturing, assembly line processes and factory operations is essential.
  • Experience with prior work in polyurethane foam manufacturing is a strong asset.
  • Mechanical knowledge is required to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
  • Self-motivated and results driven individual
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in manufacturing setting.
  • Must be able to lift 40lb and be physically able to lift, push, pull, bend as needed.
  • Must have good attendance and punctuality
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for collaboration across departments.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily production activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality control measures.
  • Coordinate workflow on the assembly line, optimizing processes to enhance productivity.
  • Train and mentor production staff on best practices, machinery operation, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery, performing basic maintenance as necessary.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to assist with production tasks when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of production output, equipment performance, and employee attendance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations within the manufacturing facility.
  • Address any issues that arise during production promptly, implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
  • · Coordinate employee schedules on multiple shifts.
  • · Manage inventory for production and inventory of completed parts.
  • · Test new foam formulations, record observations/results, and adjust for optimal results/settings.
  • · Trial new moulds and troubleshoot foam pouring issues.
  • · Resolve equipment issues in conjunction with maintenance and the tool shop.
  • · Contribute to the organization of the facility and ensure the safe and effective operation of the production lines.
  • · Resolve employee disagreements and mitigate conflicts before they can escalate.
  • · Recommend process improvement to improve employee, plant, and production efficiency.
  • · Proficient with computers, email communication, and manufacturing systems.
  • · Communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • · Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • · Perform related duties as assigned by management
