Description The Production Supervisor is directly responsible for the management, training, development, performance, retention and engagement of employees. Also responsible for supervising employees at remelt and electric furnaces to maintain an efficient and timely production schedule. 1. Promote a team atmosphere, healthy and safe work environment for all employees providing consistent and ongoing communication and direction 2. Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations under direction of the manager 3. Accountable for ensuring compliance to all safety programs, requirements and practices 4. Maintain equipment to prevent downtime and maintain productivity 5. Communicate with and engage the team members on key operational strategies 6. Train new employees to company standards 7. Maintain standards for production, housekeeping and quality control 8. Allocate workload and supervise production staff 9. Follow company dress code and use proper PPE at all times 10. Effectively address performance concerns, discipline and recognition Work with Human Resources on any employee issues Requirements 1. 2-3 years of supervisory experience 2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Willing to work overtime and weekends when necessary
