Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting directly to the production manager, the Production Supervisor oversees production in accordance with plant policies and procedures and in compliance with safety policies. The Production Supervisor is responsible for delivering high quality products on time with a commitment to safety and to use all resources efficiently to improve productivity.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Proficiency in operating power tools, hand tools, and forklifts
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience with assembly and fabrication processes

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers
  • Work productively to a schedule outlined to meet the needs of the business.
  • Ensure production goals are met and quality standards are maintained
  • Train new employees on proper use of power tools, hand tools, and machinery
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during production
