Description About the Role We’re hiring a Production Supervisor to lead the first shift operations at our Via manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing multiple production lines and managing a team of Leads and Operators. The ideal candidate combines hands-on leadership with operational insight – ensuring daily work runs smoothly while also thinking ahead about team performance, resource planning, and continuous improvement. The Supervisor plays a critical role in aligning shift execution with broader production goals, while fostering a positive, respectful, and high-performing culture on the floor. Who We’re Looking For We’re looking for a strong people leader who brings both manufacturing experience and sound leadership. The ideal candidate is someone who leads by example, builds trust with their team, takes initiative, and knows how to balance floor support with operational decision-making, and brings a calm, confident presence to the floor. This role requires someone who can manage multiple lines and adjust priorities, develop frontline leaders, communicate clearly, and drive a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Requirements Core Responsibilities Supervise 20–30 team members, including Production Leads and Operators. Maintain a regular and visible presence on the floor to support team members, monitor progress, and reinforce safety and quality standards. Monitor and manage attendance, conduct, and overall performance. Provide clear, consistent coaching, feedback, and recognition to support employee growth and accountability. Mentor and develop Production Leads to build frontline leadership capability and ensure effective shift execution. Promote a respectful, team-oriented culture by modeling professionalism and addressing issues promptly. Champion continuous improvement by encouraging frontline feedback and engaging the team in problem-solving. Resolve real-time production issues, adjust staffing as needed, and escalate concerns appropriately. Ensure adherence to GMP, documentation standards, and company policies. Promote safe work practices and proactively address safety concerns throughout the shift. Collaborate with cross-functional partners, which include Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Safety, HR, and fellow Supervisors, to support smooth operations and drive results. Key Qualifications 2+ years in a Lead or Supervisory role in manufacturing Strong understanding of production processes, safety protocols, and compliance requirements Lean manufacturing and 5S experience is strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage performance, and communicate clearly Comfortable using ERP, timekeeping, and production tracking systems (e.g., Paylocity, Excel, tablets) Benefits All regular full-time employees are eligible for benefits beginning the first of the month following their hire date.
