Description JOB SUMMARY: The Production Supervisor oversees daily operations within the lumber plant, ensuring production targets are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards. This role is responsible for managing a team of production workers, coordinating workflow, maintaining equipment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned. Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff to meet daily output goals. Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Schedule and assign tasks to workers based on production needs and skill levels. Train, coach, and evaluate team members to promote skill development and performance. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate production records and generate reports for management. Collaborate with maintenance, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations. Enforce company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and disciplinary actions. Lead continuous improvement efforts to optimize productivity and reduce waste. Ensure proper use and maintenance of machinery and equipment. Work closely with other PRIDE and DC personnel to ensure compliance with institutional rules and regulations. Requirements Education and Experience: 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or lumber production environment. Language Skills: Good verbal, written, and electronic communication skills. Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills. Reasoning Ability: Reading comprehension. Specialized Knowledge and/or Skill: Proficient in tools / Reading a Tape. Forklift certified. Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Understand quality control awareness and management. Safety management with documentation. Ability to foster teamwork. Detail-oriented. Handle stress and conflict resolution skills. Proficient in Blueprint Reading. (CPI) Continuous Process Improvement. Other Skills and Abilities: People/leadership skills. Personal time management.
