Description Job Overview The Production Supervisor - Primary is responsible for overseeing the Measuring and Blending Departments and ensuring employees follow safety procedures and produce quality products, within the standard times allotted for each task . Main Duties & Responsibilities Champion the Company’s core values. Developing and supervising direct reports in a manner that fosters accountability and a safe sense of urgency; Oversee and supervise the execution of approved processes to manufacture high quality measured batches and blends that meet customer specifications, aligns with the company goals, allotted times, and profitability for each task; Make necessary staffing/overtime adjustments that align with the company’s weekly goals and direct labor requirements; Manage production deadlines that align with internal and external customer expectations; Ensure regulatory compliance in EHS; Maintain accountability using the Armada Production System. (Hour by Hour boards); Foster a continuous improvement culture, focused on achieving zero accidents and driving waste out of our manufacturing processes; Train our employees on safe practices, encourage employee involvement, and address safety issues in the workplace; Comply with rules of the government and certifying organizations including the FDA, Organic, Kosher, Halal, NSF and BRC; Drive best practices in sanitation and cGMPs; Provide consistent leadership in managing people and providing all employees a positive, engaging work environment; Complete monthly one on ones in a timely and professional manner; Ensure execution of inventory transactions is being properly followed to insure accurate inventory of >95%; Sustainment of all kaizen events; Perform other duties as deemed necessary; Requirements Requirements and Skills 4+ years’ of experience in a production department in a similar position; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Forklift operation training; Ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills; Intermediate math, communication, and problem solving skills; Ability to follow and enforce GMP and SOP guidelines; Ability to give detailed instructions for staff to perform daily tasks. Must be able to extract and analyze data from our JDE/RFS system; Work Conditions and Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended hours; Ability to sit for extended hours; Ability to view a computer screen and type for extended hours; Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.; Other physical requirements include frequent squatting, bending, and twisting; Ability to make frequent rounds in a warehouse environment; Must be able to wear any required PPE such as scrubs, hair net, lab coat, and facemask; Ability to work in a packaging area with a moderate powder substance in the air with or without a respirator; Ability to work around a variation of different smells and aromas; Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require.
