The Quality Assurance Specialist/Quality Inspector is responsible for upholding the highest quality standards across all products and processes. This role involves a combination of hands-on quality inspection, systematic quality audits, ongoing quality surveillance. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, analytical, and committed to continuous improvement.

You’ll have…

• High School Diploma or GED Required
• 1+ years of supervisory and/or manufacturing experience
• Experience in quality assurance, quality inspection, or a similar field.
• Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends

• Two-way communicator who actively listens to hourly team members, leaders, business partners, and customers

• Capable of assigning work to a unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms of safety, quality, and throughput

• Body shop/stamping/paint/subassembly experience preferred
• Safety and Quality experience preferred
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Knowledge of constraint management principles
• Prior experience managing a unionized workforce

• Coach Safety, Quality, and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work
• React immediately to quality issues
• Initiate sort/purge/contain activities as needed
• Monitor and on occurrences. Be the first responder to quality concerns as they arise
• Support Continuous Improvement and coach problem resolution to the lowest level of the organization
• Communication and recognition
• Build Team Member capability
• Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities/tasks
• Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents
• Optimize outputs in accordance with budgets and cost objectives
• Identify sources of variation within a production environment effectively and efficiently
