About Redwood Materials Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling — keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2017, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have. Production Supervisor, Hydrometallurgy The Operations Supervisor is a frontline leadership role responsible for safely and efficiently leading a team of chemical operators to produce in spec products in alignment with site objectives. This role establishes and reinforces best in class operational discipline, safe work practices, and industry standards across chemical processing and warehousing operations. The Operations Supervisor maintains a strong presence in the production environment, models expected behaviors, and partners closely with maintenance, engineering, and site leadership to drive reliable operations and continuous improvement. This position plays a critical role in developing operator capability, strengthening safety culture, and ensuring consistent execution across shifts. This position is for A Shift. Applications will be accepted through March 15. Responsibilities will include: Lead daily operations with an uncompromising commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and product quality Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Lead, coach, and develop a diverse team of operators to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective production. Set clear performance expectations, provide timely feedback, and hold team members accountable for results and behaviors. Monitor production performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, throughput, and cost. Partner with maintenance and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and support preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Desired Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following environments: chemical manufacturing, chemical processing operations, mining, refinery, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or industrial warehousing Prior experience in a supervisory, lead, or training role strongly preferred Demonstrated success in coaching, employee engagement, and people development Working knowledge of industrial equipment such as pumps, compressors, centrifuges, reactors, mechanical separation equipment, filter presses, kilns, and forklifts Strong hazard recognition skills with the ability to teach and reinforce safe work practices Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, process discipline, and operational controls Experience with HMI systems and computerized manufacturing or control systems preferred Self-motivated, accountable, and capable of driving issues to resolution using available resources Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively Passion for sustainability, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement The position is full-time.
