OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Production, you will be responsible for leading the manufacturing operational processes through the production team, ensuring the factory is working efficiently and smoothly at all times.
This position requires the ability to lead the team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring all goods are manufactured or picked and packed and then shipped accurately and on time.
You will have a solid manufacturing or warehouse background and proven experience of leading a team and setting and maintaining high standards. You will work as part of the operational leadership team to identify and share ideas, improving operational performance through collaboration.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • No formal qualifications required.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.

Responsibilities
  • As an inspirational leader you will oversee and manage the production team to ensure due dates are met.
  • Apply LEAN manufacturing principles, utilising these principles as a powerful tool for driving process improvements.
  • Oversee quality control to ensure all goods are being made accurately and help investigate non-conformances.
  • Launch or support Kaizen events to tackle production issues using your problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Maintain a strong 5S standard, supporting the team to improve their areas.
  • Ensure orders are produced and dispatched by the set dispatch dates.
  • Ensure an accurate stock take is carried out on the last day of every month recording all the stock items.
  • Share responsibility for the team including return to work meetings, team morale, taking an active part in reviews and appraisals meetings.
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure that all employees adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Ensure that Health and Safety standards and Quality standards are maintained.
  • Ability to work independently under the Operations Director and as a key part of the production team.
  • Motivate and coach the team to operational success.
