PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR – LURGAN – CIRCA £35,000

A leading Food Manufacturing company in Lurgan have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor to join their Senior Team.
The purpose of this is to support the management team towards achieving maximum production efficiency and product quality; to ensure adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene procedures; to control legal compliance and process systems. To lead by example and ensure that you and your team are adhering to company policies and procedures in relation to Product Quality, Food Safety and Integrity.

THE SUCCESSFUL PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR WILL MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within Production Supervisor Role within a food manufacturing environment
  • Level 2 Food Safety
  • Computer Literate
  • Although not essential a Health & Safety Certification

Responsibilities
  • To allocate and supervise staff to different lines to achieve overall production efficiency and to ensure that production targets are met per order.
  • To understand AX, Autocoding, and Sparc systems and utilise these in the department
  • To control packaging, labels, etc, and sign off required documents
  • To observe department stock rotation and control
  • To deal with quality / process issues
  • To ensure that production records are accurately completed
  • To sign off department specifics training
  • To investigate staff personnel issues at ground level such as timekeeping and work performance and to report any issues to the department management team.
  • To ensure that appropriate Health and Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene procedures are implemented at all times
  • To lead by example and ensure that you and your team are adhering to company policies and procedures in relation to Product Quality, Food Safety and Integrity.
  • To undertake other appropriate duties as deemed necessary within the scope of the role.
