SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for an experienced Production Supervisor for a client in Forest Lake, IL The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and assisting in the day-to-day operations and managing plant employees working on multiple production lines.
This position will supervise, mentor, and develop a team of production associates to ensure that production deadlines are met efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will enjoy mentoring others and have a proactive, problem-solving mentality. Demonstrated leadership abilities is a must!
SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All direct hire employees are offered competitive compensation $45,000-$50,000 as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).
Available shifts include 1st Shift.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS OF THE PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2-5 years prior Supervisory experience required
• Proven track record of effective problem-solving.
• Strong communication skills.

• Provide strong, yet approachable, on-the-floor leadership to staff and workers
• Trains and manages production leads and employees on the assigned shift.
• Oversee the daily workflow and assignments of the production shift.
• Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
• Ensures that products are identified, weighed, and warehoused correctly.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise.
• Learn the sorting and recycling process for each sorting station and provide basic training for new employees
• Main backup for Dock Lead, which entails understanding processes and procedures for scheduling shipments and creating bills of lading
• Maintain standard operating procedures and continuous improvement initiatives
• Monitor regulatory and safety compliance with on-site support from Environmental, Health and Safety and follow up on any incidents or concerns
• Provide a clear sense of direction and motivation to workers and monitor workforce “pulse”
• Provides constructive and timely performance reviews
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
