QUALIFICATIONS

  • Recognised vocational qualification or apprenticeship in a relevant discipline (e.g. Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering)
  • Certification as a team leader/supervisor (e.g. ILM Level 3 or equivalent) is desirable
  • Highly experienced in a production or manufacturing environment, ideally in aerospace, defence, or high-tech engineering
  • Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing principles, workflow optimisation, and production planning
  • Strong organisational skills and a hands-on, problem-solving mindset
  • Familiarity with machinery maintenance and production tooling
  • Experience in maintenance and servicing of machines and equipment is an advantage
  • Clear and confident communication style with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead under pressure and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Comfortable with travelling to Munich for initial training
  • Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance

Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate and oversee daily production operations within your area
  • Lead, support and motivate a team of skilled production technicians and operatives
  • Ensure efficient workflows and continuously optimise manufacturing processes
  • Manage staffing levels, task allocation and team development
  • Oversee training and upskilling of team members to maintain a high-performing workforce
  • Monitor production KPIs, cost drivers, and process compliance
  • Ensure production equipment is maintained, serviced and fully operational
  • Supervise routine maintenance and coordinate reactive repairs as needed
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, quality and supply chain teams
