As a company in the Timberland Group, TIMBERLAND EQUIPMENT LIMITED is a Canadian-owned, entrepreneurial, globally recognized company located in Woodstock, Ontario, where we are a fully operational facility with sales, engineering, and manufacturing departments all under one roof.
Due to growth, we are looking for an Assembly Supervisor with a hydraulics and electrical focus.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this position is responsible for supervising the assembly of hydraulic and electrical systems in the Assembly Department. The Supervisor ensures employees are aware of all safety requirements and instructs them in the Company’s Health & Safety Program. The position overview is to be used as a guideline only and may not incorporate all functions of the job.

  • Follow company planning system for production scheduling
  • Prepare work schedules, make work assignments for employees and sets work deadlines
  • Inspect work in progress and completed to ensure conformance to specifications and adherence to quality standards
  • Collaboration with engineering department through design and assembly process
  • Issue purchase requisitions for materials and parts necessary to perform work
  • Maintain ISO-9001 Standards as they relate to manufacturing
  • Attend weekly production meetings and reports on work in progress
  • Support the Manufacturing Manager in the development of sales proposals by providing labour estimates for the assembly department
  • Take regular measures (including customer feedback) to ensure awareness of the quality of, and attitude towards, work which is performed by direct reports, in order to fairly judge their capabilities
  • Ensure compliance with the OHSA legislation
  • Participate in development and implementation of programs to protect employees’ safety and health
