Production Supervisor   Summary of the Position: Supervise day-to-day operations ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Assist in production scheduling and monitoring materials on a regular basis to meet production goals. Manage and schedule staff to meet production goals, maintain safety and quality expectations.   Roles and Responsibilities: * Plan day-to-day production activities to meet safety, quality and order expectations. * Supervise and coordinate the activities of production with the department personnel, analyze problems and implement measures to resolve issues. * Provide constant coaching and training in the production area and by maintaining a regular floor presence throughout the production shift. * Monitor organization of production floor and storage areas. * Maintain a safe work environment. * Communicate with Quality, Shipping/Receiving, and Maintenance to effectively execute production activities. * Supervise and motivate the production team, ensure all policies, procedures and goals are being administered fairly and equitably. * Work with appropriate departments for improvement of policies and procedures. * Ensure GMP and SQF standards are maintained on the production floor, and day-to-day records and logs are completed to always be in compliance with regulatory and company standards. * Coordinate with the appropriate departments for any issues that arise. Minimum Requirements * Effective communication skills. * Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail. * The ability to multi-task in multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams. * Must be proficient in Windows Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with above average Excel skills. * Ability to think and work independently and possess strong creativity and problem-solving skills. Education and Experience: * Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is preferred.  * Supervisor experience is required. * High school diploma or GED is required. * Post-secondary degree is preferred.
