SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Press Area Supervisor is responsible for the direct oversight of the Assembly Areas and development of the Corporate Lean Program. Supervision of associates includes validation of the quality and quantity of their work, communicating schedules, coordinating proper training, disciplinary issues, and other items as needs arise.
Oversight of physical production includes the set-up and change-over of production equipment, the quality of parts produced, the fulfillment of production orders, and the overall 5S condition of the Area.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of three years’ experience supervising staff in a batch fabrication department.
  • Experience supervising and training of staff.
  • Solid organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze when to call support department resources to assist operators.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience with the set-up and change-over of production equipment.
  • ERP knowledge (SAP).
  • Experience in producing stamped parts for the automotive industry

  • Oversees manufacturing of quantities specified in the production control according to defined methods
  • Ensures that production documents are properly created, used and complied with
  • Participates in projects for the continuous improvement of production processes
