We are currently looking to fill a Full-Time Supervisor position with our Production department.

REQUIREMENTS:

· 3–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a unionized food manufacturing or related production environment.

  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, CFIA, GFSI programs such as SQF or BRC).
  • Familiarity with Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and safe work practices.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable with conflict resolution, including handling performance and discipline meetings professionally.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or other continuous improvement tools is an asset.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or overtime as required.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Weekly rotating shift between days, afternoons and nights
  • Overtime Available

Responsibilities
  • Conduct performance and discipline meetings in accordance with company policies and employment standards.
  • Supervise daily production operations to ensure schedules, quality standards, and efficiency targets are met.
  • Lead, train, coach, and motivate production staff to maintain high performance and engagement.
  • Monitor production processes and make adjustments to optimize workflow, minimize downtime, and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, GMP, HACCP, CFIA, SQF/BRC, and company quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to maintain safety, cleanliness, and proper sanitation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and support continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records for production output, employee performance, inventory usage, and shift reports.
  • Enforce health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning for production or quality concerns.
  • Manage shift scheduling, attendance, and performance of production employees.
  • Communicate effectively with management on production status, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
