Description This position would be responsible for supervision of employees in all production departments (Finish, Mills, Sheet Metal, Mechanical Assembly, Hydraulic Assembly) working on Weekend Shift, Friday through Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Summary: With the primary focus of this position being performance and operations supervision, set and enforce goals and metrics for each department in consultation with other shift supervisors and Operations Manager Manage employee and program participant performance for swing shift Handle scheduling, staffing and labor planning duties with consultation with other shift supervisors and Operations Manager to include approval of time cards and PTO requests in Paylocity Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards for all employees and program participants working on the stated shift Escalate major issues immediately to other supervisors and Operations Manager Conduct hiring and termination responsibilities in coordination with Human Resources Conduct performance and disciplinary actions for supervised employees as needed and scheduled Coordinate machine and tool maintenance with maintenance department Schedule and conduct performance evaluations for employees as required Ensure mentors complete program participant evaluations on time Other Duties: This job description contains a listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job at this moment in time. Manufacturing experience in one or more of the listed departments Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications. Organizational ability. Problem solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as collectively. The ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
