PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - WEEKEND SHIFT (8:00AM – 4:30 PM) – WEDNESDAY THRU SUNDAY

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience and managing a team in a manufacturing environment
• Valid and up-to-date Forklift Drivers license (experience operating sit-down counterbalance)

• Ensure production and staffing meet production targets and objectives; increase production efficiency by organizing manpower, evaluating activities performed, identify bottlenecks and implement improvements
• Maintain accurate daily shift notes; communicate production statistics, results, health and safety concerns, or any other notable event from the shift to the Plant Manager on a daily basis
• Create a safety-conscious work environment by taking precautionary measures against accidents, providing proper PPE, monitoring, and enforcing Health and Safety rules and regulations.
• Lead a team of employees (permanent and temp staffing); drive performance through effective collaboration, coaching, goal setting and performance management; conduct annual performance reviews
• Monitor process effectiveness and make recommendations on how to improve
• Ensure employees follow production guidelines and work instructions, and that proper tools are in place and used to complete the job
• Assist in cross-training of employees to achieve a more flexible, versatile team
• Monitor usage of materials, track waste and manage resources to effectively reduce waste
