At Sheldon Creek Dairy, we produce high-quality milk, yogurt, kefir, and cream with care and integrity. We’re looking for a reliable and motivated team member to support our production team and uphold our high sanitation standards.
Position Summary:
The Production Support & Sanitation Assistant is responsible for supporting dairy processing operations by cleaning and preparing bottles, assisting on the production line, and ensuring equipment and workspaces are cleaned and sanitized according to food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Bottle Handling & Preparation

• Sort, inspect, and clean incoming glass and plastic bottles
• Load and unload bottles from racks and bottle washers
• Inspect bottles for cleanliness and defect

Production Line Support

• Assist operators with filling, capping, and labelling bottles
• Hand-pack finished products into crates and pallets
• Maintain pace and flow of production with minimal downtime

Cleaning & Sanitation

• Wash and sanitize processing equipment (filler, capper, tanks, utensils, etc.)
• Deep clean floors, drains, walls, and work surfaces as scheduled
• Follow daily and weekly sanitation checklists
• Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with facility protocols

General Duties

• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), health & safety, and food safety standards
• Report any issues with cleanliness, equipment, or product quality
• Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily production goals

Qualifications & Skills:

• Prior experience in food manufacturing or cleaning/sanitation is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Comfortable with physical tasks: lifting, bending, standing for long periods
• Able to work in cold, wet, and fast-paced environments
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus
