Reporting to the Facilities & Infrastructure Manager, the Production Systems Engineering Technician plays a vital role in the Maintenance team, responsible for programming, repairs, installation, and testing of industrial machinery and electronic systems.

Responsibilities
  • System Installation & Configuration: Install and commission production equipment hardware and software. Configure communication protocols, manage industrial subnets, networking hardware, and wiring. Support the integration of new machinery into workflows and collaborate with the Maintenance team to develop, program PLCs, and integrate equipment with PC software.
  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and troubleshoot production systems, including PLCs, controllers, and equipment. Test electrical components for proper function and correct faults. Maintain and update software and firmware for machinery. Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs and related software to ensure optimal operation of production equipment.
  • Energy & Environmental Management: Manage the Energy Management Information System, providing monthly data and suggesting power-saving initiatives. Oversee and manage the environmental control and data logging system for optimal performance.
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Work closely with team members and departments to ensure efficient operation of production systems. Participate in problem-solving initiatives related to safety, quality, efficiency, waste reduction, and continuous improvement actions.
