Job Summary: The Production Team Lead oversees daily operations within the aluminum manufacturing area, ensuring production goals are met safely, efficiently, and with high-quality outcomes. This role is responsible for coordinating team activities, monitoring workflow, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and maintaining a safe and accident-free work environment. The Production Lead serves as the primary contact for operations within the department and helps train, motivate, and guide team members to achieve optimal performance. Duties & Responsibilities * Lead, coach, and support production team members to ensure consistent performance, engagement, and accountability. * Model company values by fostering a culture of respect, open communication, and teamwork. * Provide hands-on training for new employees and ongoing skill development for existing team members. * Assign daily tasks, provide direction, and adjust staffing as needed to meet production requirements. * Oversee the manufacturing process for components, ensuring workflow efficiency and alignment with production schedules. * Monitor equipment, machinery, and tools, and report issues promptly to minimize downtime. * Ensure accurate packing, labeling, and movement of all materials and assemblies. * Coordinate with maintenance, quality, engineering, and logistics to keep operations on track and on time. * Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications through daily checks and adherence to procedures. * Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity. * Support implementation of lean practices and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. * Ensure documentation, logs, and reports are completed accurately and timely. * Promote and enforce a zero-accident safety culture by following all safety policies and ensuring team compliance. * Conduct daily safety checks, support incident investigations, and recommend corrective actions. * Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment. * Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and industry regulations Requirements: * 3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in aluminum, metals, or industrial production. * Proven leadership or lead-operator experience. * Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and workflow management. * Ability to train, motivate, and guide employees in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. * Working knowledge of safety standards and quality practices. * Preferred experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement techniques. * Preferred forklift or material handling certification. * Preferred experience with ERP, CSI/Infor manufacturing management systems. Physical Requirements: * Prolonged periods of standing and walking. * Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and aluminum materials. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. * Requires use of PPE and adherence to all safety protocols.
