Description
Description Trains and leads a team of Production Associates in a kitting operation. Plans and monitors workflow of assigned associates and communicates with customers regarding operational progress. Ensures achievement of quality requirements and strict adherence to specified standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: •Ensures the Vision, Mission, and Values of the company are the guiding principles of daily business practices. •Provides continuity of leadership in the absence of the Production Supervisor. •Provides floor leadership to the Production Team members. •Provides operational assistance to Production Team during high volume periods or to augment for manpower shortages. •Provide Production Supervisor recommendations or accounting of employee work performance levels and or proposed disciplinary actions. •Conducts training to Production Team members for Production Operational Procedures. •Ensures compliance to established processes and standards by observation, documentation audit, and review of project results. •Ensures a safe work environment by correcting and or mediating any observed safety procedure violation or unsafe work environment issue. •Ensures security for sensitive areas are locked and accessed only by authorized personnel. •Maintains documentation for site specific records for areas with special requirements e.g.. temperature control or other requirements. •Report any noncompliance violation of special requirements or failure of systems to the Production Supervisor or Warehouse Manager immediately upon discovery. •Communicates by various means with Production Supervisor as to operational progress and anomalies at set intervals and as needed. •Communicates by various means with customers as to operational progress and anomalies at set intervals and as needed. •Prepares and communicates daily schedule of work to Production Team. •Conducts individual and or team meeting to communicate any changes to workflow processes or standards as received from customers or company sources. •Ensures all equipment utilized by the Production / Assembly Team is in good and safe working order and reports any maintenance requirements to the Production / Assembly Supervisor. Requirements •High School Diploma or equivalent required. •Two years’ experience in a warehouse and or kitting operation required. •Two years’ experience using an automated WMS (Warehouse Management System)preferred. •One to two years’ experience in a leadership role preferred. •Be able to stand continually for periods up to four hours required. •Demonstrate proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel &Word) •Obtain an OHSA Material Handling Operator License within 30 days of hire is required. •Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills. •Able to create and follow written and verbal instructions in English •Be able to lift and or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
