SKILLS AND EXPEREIENCE

· Previous dairy experience preferred
· Good general level of education preferably to HNC/HND standard in food technology and mechanical engineering or equivalent
· People management experience
· Multi-tasking
· Creative problem-solving skills
· Attention to detail
· Computer literacy

· Supports and assists the Shift Manager in the smooth running of the production area
· Ensures all procedures are carried out in accordance with the Company Quality System
· Ensure that tanks are filled with product as per the production plan to make sure that fillers can run at optimum efficiency.
· Ensures product quality meets, or exceeds, specification
· Ensures the production of products run efficiently and that staff are always supervised
· Manages staff breaks.
· Sharing technical knowledge with team members to improve their capabilities. Mentoring, coaching & developing team members in company behaviours.
· Utilises all available opportunities, enabling others to improve the way we do things
· Working closely with the Technical department
· Ensure good manufacturing practices are adopted at all times
· Ensure staff adhere to company hygiene / quality standards at all times
· To maintain effective communication channels with all members of the team.
· Takes responsibility for the shift when the Shift Manager is not in the production area.
