SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

The role of Production Team Leader is multifaceted and requires both industry-specific qualifications and technical abilities. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Experience: Previous experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry or automated setting in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Shift Work: Experience with shift work, particularly night shifts.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of relevant machinery and equipment, along with a basic understanding of health and safety regulations within the production environment.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for conveying instructions, providing feedback, and resolving conflicts.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to quickly identify and resolve issues that arise during the night shift is crucial.
  • Organisation and Time Management: Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workloads effectively are necessary to keep production running smoothly.
  • Teamwork: The ability to work effectively as part of a team and to motivate team members.
  • Adaptability: A flexible and adaptable approach to work is essential, as night shift roles often require dealing with unexpected situations.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate Machinery: Use product manufacturing equipment to product Tablets, Capsules, Powder Blends, Gummies, and Softgels.
  • Assemble products: Put together parts to create finished goods within our packaging lines.
  • Conduct Quality Checks: Perform basic testing and quality control to ensure products meet standards.
  • Maintain Equipment: Keep machinery and tools in good working order.
  • Store and Move Goods: Use lifting equipment and manual handling techniques to move raw materials and finished products.
  • Clean and Organise: Keep work areas and machinery clean and tidy, maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene protocols.
  • Follow Safety Procedures: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Complete Paperwork: Record production data and other information.
  • Leading and Managing the Team: This includes distributing workload, providing guidance, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Meeting Production Targets: Ensuring that production output meets nightly and weekly targets and KPIs.
  • Ensuring Safety and Compliance: Implementing and enforcing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues that may arise during the shift, including equipment malfunctions and production errors.
  • Communication and Reporting: Providing clear and concise communication to other team members, supervisors, and management, including shift handovers and reports.
  • Training and Development: Ensuring that team members are adequately trained and developed to perform their roles effectively.
  • Resource Management: Optimising the use of resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel.

Day-to-day duties can involve a substantial amount of manual handling including bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching, and lifting.
