QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to listen, follow directions, and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of garment types and categories (e.g., shirts, pants, gowns).
  • Ability to work at a consistent pace to meet production goals.
  • Previous experience in retail, donation processing, or merchandise presentation is a plus.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES

  • Politely and professionally receive donations from donors and issue donation receipts.
  • Sort, hang, price, and color-code garments and wares according to established guidelines.
  • Maintain prescribed production levels and rotate stock on a timely basis.
  • Present merchandise neatly on appropriate racks and shelves per merchandising standards.
  • Assist with textile color rotation following established procedures.
  • Keep both the sales floor and production areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Greet customers with a courteous, friendly, and professional attitude.
  • Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate customer service at all times.
  • Direct customers to appropriate departments and provide general information as needed.
  • Remain alert to potential shoplifting and report suspicious activity to management.
  • Maintain a well-groomed appearance and follow dress code requirements, including wearing a name badge and vest.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  • Refer all customer complaints to management on time.
  • Answer the telephone promptly using established etiquette procedures.
  • Follow Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) procedures and other Public Protection Guidelines.
  • React calmly and respond to emergencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
